Casa della Scrittrice is set in a secluded Olive Grove and is surrounded by a garden filled with native plants and shrubs.

Free WiFi is provided in all rooms. We have provided a selection of books for you during your stay and some useful information and notes about the area.
Housekeeping
Towels and pool towels are provided in each room as well as complimentary toiletries.

Pool
There is a large salt water pool for guests use during their stay, with a large sunny terrace where you can soak up some Puglian sun.

Food and Wine

Puglia produces over 40% of Italy's olive oil and some of its most delicious wines too.
From seasonal fruit and vegetables to freshly caught seafood and local organic meats and delicious cheeses.
Puglia is a foodies heaven.

At Casa della Scrittrice you are perfectly situated to visit the most stunning towns and villages of Puglia.
From hilltop villages to Baroque towns and of course the jewel in the crown La Citta Bianca, Ostuni.
Markets

Every day you will find a local market in one the many beautiful towns around us,
where you can buy some amazing local produce. If you love Antiques you will also find a Sunday Market every weekend too.

Further Afield
​
We are ideally situated to explore further afield too. The Baroque town of Lecce and coastal towns of Otranto and Galipolli are perfect for day trip. While Matera in nearby Basilicata, is less than a two hour drive away.
Leisure Activities

From Safari and Water Parks to Underground Cave Systems as well as WWF Reserves your sure to find something to while away
your day. Then in the evening head out to a great restaurant, discover a local Festa or catch a Jazz or Classical concert.
Beaches
Puglia has one of Italy's longest coastlines and is home to some of its most beautiful beaches. From rocky coves to long sandy bays, beautiful coastal dunes and WWF reserves. There really is something for everyone to choose from.
