From hilltop villages to Baroque towns and of course the jewel in the crown La Citta Bianca, Ostuni.

Every day you will find a local market in one the many beautiful towns around us,

where you can buy some amazing local produce. If you love Antiques you will also find a Sunday Market every weekend too.

Further Afield

We are ideally situated to explore further afield too. The Baroque town of Lecce and coastal towns of Otranto and Galipolli are perfect for day trip. While Matera in nearby Basilicata, is less than a two hour drive away.

Leisure Activities

From Safari and Water Parks to Underground Cave Systems as well as WWF Reserves your sure to find something to while away

your day. Then in the evening head out to a great restaurant, discover a local Festa or catch a Jazz or Classical concert.

Beaches

Puglia has one of Italy's longest coastlines and is home to some of its most beautiful beaches. From rocky coves to long sandy bays, beautiful coastal dunes and WWF reserves. There really is something for everyone to choose from.

My husband & I had the best time ever at Casa de la Scrittrice, it is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. David & Francesco have taken care of every single detail to make it incredibly beautiful and comfortable for their guests. Everything was beyond our expectations; the room, breakfast, the pool, the peacefulness and their kindness. They also give you a fantastic list of their favourite restaurants around the area which I highly recommend you try, they were all amazing!
We definitely hope to come back!

We had a wonderful stay with Fran and David. They were attentive and easy going hosts, we enjoyed the delicious shared breakfasts on the terrace and great restaurant recommendations. The room itself was well decorated and spotlessly clean. The pool and gardens were a beautiful retreat to relax in. The only thing we would change would be to have stayed longer! David & Fran’s Trullo home is a magical place to stay in the middle of an olive grove. There are so many treasures to feast your eyes on every where you look. The stylish boutique hotel standard rooms are cool despite the heat outside. They are beautifully decorated & on this visit we had a small kitchenette which had everything we needed & gave us a bit more freedom & choice. The pool is a gorgeous place to sit or swim & very welcoming after a day of sightseeing.

David & Fran are a wealth of local knowledge & are great company & hosts.

All in all, it was an absolute pleasure.

What an absolute Puglese dream! We were in the lovely B and B apartment for two nights and then moved into La Pineta for almost ten days as we wanted to cook for ourselves with the fabulous local ingredients.

The B and B was a delight. Especially having breakfast on the terrace each morning with our wonderful hosts David and Francesco and their two extremely well-behaved and beautiful dogs Toby and Dita. Breakfast included the most delicious lemon seed cake on the planet and the last apricots from Francesco’s Nonna’s garden in Basilicata - which was just one example of the extreme generosity of our hosts.

When we moved to La Pineta we were able to cook pastas and other local dishes in the kitchenette. It’s a spacious studio with plenty of room to lounge about in , whether in the shade of the private terrace or sunbathing in the private area of garden; every so often dipping in the lovely pool to cool off.

We felt very relaxed there so spent quite a lot of time ‘at home” luxuriating in the perfumes of the lavender and jasmine and looking over the olive grove to the views beyond.

Staying here gives you the opportunity to live like a local , off piste from the usual guidebook info, as David and Francesco have immense knowledge of the area - secret locations, markets and the best beaches and restaurants to go to.

We arrived at La Pineta to an extremeky thoughtful welcome pack and a list of information which never failed us.

The location is perfect for the beach, the beautiful towns of Ostuni, Ceglie and Locorotondo and it’s easy to get onto faster roads to Bari and Matera if you want to explore further.

We totally recommend you stay here.

What a wonderful break at Casa Della Scrittrice. Every day we were greeted by beautiful sunny weather and our fantastic hosts, David & Francesco, who couldn't do enough for us.

Breakfast was a feast for the eyes, with fresh fruit and beautiful home-made cakes.

The pool and grounds are magnificent and the location is perfect for the many beautiful surrounding Puglian white towns including Ostuni, Alberobello, Cisternino and Martina Franca.

The rooms were perfect, being spotlessly clean and comfortable, and cool in the daytime heat.

We will definitely visit again
